Locking summary data

Because WellRep has built-in functionality to search for BHA's, based on profile and actual performance, it may be useful to store BHA data of old wells in the database.

As discussed in BHA Run Data, all BHA summary data is calculated from Daily Report and Wellpath data.  Consequently wellpath and daily activity data must exist and be complete. This may be not only be inconvenient (having to input all such data manually), it may also be impossible if existing data is not complete.

For this purpose, the data summary sections may be locked.  This is important because (accidentally) invoking the calculate function on a BHA would replace the manually entered data with blanks (because there is no data).  To lock the individual sections, set the relevant sliders in the Calculation locking group as shown below.

This function may also be useful to print "intermediate" BHA Run Reports (i.e. the BHA is still "in hole").  For example, a BHA report may be submitted with the Daily Report.  At this point it may be useful to have the BHA calculated up to the depth at report time.  At this point, calculate the BHA and then lock the In, out & hours section to manually set the date-time out and depth out to the values at report time.  Re-calculate the BHA to ensure all other summaries are correct (locked sections will not be affected) and print the BHA Run Report to be submitted with the Daily Report.

Data sections on a BHA should only be locked permanently on legacy BHA's (i.e. when there is no wellpath or daily operations data).  For new wells, where data is collected during drilling, locking should only be done temporarily and should be changed back as soon as possible.  Leaving data locked (unintentionally) will lead to incorrect results.
