The Accessory Inventory is to track all equipment not being a drillstring component. These components may be defined in Lookup Data Maintenance.
Normally these accessories concern items that are run with a drillstring component, such a motor stabilizer sleeve, an MWD transmitter, etc. However, other items (e.g. an MWD unit or surface computer) may be defined by using Tool Class 'Other'.
Specific tool classes allow input of detail data. Part of this detail data is the accessories run with that particular tool (e.g. a stabilizer sleeve on a mud motor). This way it can be tracked when that accessory was 'in hole' and what the accumulated running hours were.
As noted on the Equipment backload list, accessories may be included in the Backload list by ensuring the Off Location date and Backload number match the backload to print.
