When the Well Reporting System is started, you will be presented with the following screen.
It's important to carefully review this screen and become familiar with the various sections as these will be referred to throughout this manual.

Main menu and tool bar |

All WellRep functionality is available from the main menu. The toolbar provides quick access to frequently used menu options. Note that all functionality will be performed for the currently selected data entity (well, wellpath, etc.). |

|
|
Provide a list of wells in the database. Note that the data in this grid may be sorted, filtered and/or grouped. A specific well may be set as the active well so that it is selected by default when starting WellRep. The highlight color for the active well can be changed in the WellRep settings. |

|
|
Wellpath, BHA and Daily Report selection grid |
|
|
Each tab provides a list of wellpaths, bottom hole assemblies or daily reports in the database. The grid only displays data for the currently selected well. |

|
|
|
Form history |
|
|
A list of recently opened forms. Useful to quickly go back to a recently used data form. Right-clicking this grid presents a context-menu to edit (open) the form or to remove one or all form references from the history. |

|
|
|
Message bar |
|
|
Displays program messages. Most of these messages are logged for debugging purposes. The log files are cyclic (i.e. once the reach a certain size, they are restarted) and may be sent to Softdrill NL to assist in debugging issues with the program. |

Status bar |
|
|
Displays connected database, database connection type, user name and CodeMeter license key serial number. |
