Bulk types may be defined for maintaining an inventory on the Daily Reports. As this is purely for administrative purposes, bulk stock is explicitly excluded from the units of measurements used in WellRep. Instead, the bulk is only labeled with a unit of measurement (UOM). Multiple bulk types may be defined with different units (i.e. the combination Bulk Type and Unit of Measurement must be unique). The data values (stock quantity) will not be converted when the UOM is changed!
It is possible to maintain stock inventory for multiple locations. In the above example, two stock inventories (rig site and camp) are defined for a desert rig. Another example would be the definition of multiple bulk types if it would be desired to track cement stock per silo. In that case multiple bulk types could be defined to distinguish between silos (e.g. 'Cement - Silo #1', 'Cement - Silo #2', etc.).
