Data maintenance

The data maintenance function should be used with great care to prevent care. Do not use this functionality before this entire page has been read and functionality is fully understood.

Incorrect use of this functionality may permanently corrupt data! It is a good idea to prepare a full backup of the database before using it so that data can be restored if anything goes wrong.

	Selected data table
	The selected data table on which the maintenance will be performed. In this case the Daily Cost table (sub-table of the Daily Reports) is selected.

Data with no related lookup value

This data grid lists the data for which there is (are) no related value(s) in the lookup table. Note that non-existing lookup values are not necessarily singular; it may also be a combination of field values. In this example it is the Cost Group, Cost Class, Cost Type and Charge Type combination which is not found in the lookup table. In such a case the entire combination (i.e. all fields) will be affected by the maintenance operation when executed. An example of a singular field update is the Operator Name in the Well table.

Also note that records in this data grid can represent multiple records in the data table.

	Lookup data
	This grid displays the lookup table. Data values can only be selected from values in this table when editing in WellRep.

	Add to lookup table
	Clicking this button will add the data value(s) selected in the data table [2] to the lookup table [3]. As mentioned above, this will be performed for the combination of fields. In this case, the combination of 'DD', 'Motors', 'High Performance', 'Operational' will be added to the lookup table.

	Update data
	Clicking this button will update ALL records in the data table to the selected lookup value(s). In this case, all records having the 'DD', 'Motors', 'High Performance', 'Operational' combination, will be changed to 'DD', 'Motors', 'High Performance', 'BRT hours'.
